Our Philosophy

At Prep2PlaySports, we live by Dave Brailsford’s “aggregation of marginal gains.” Just as the once‑struggling British cycling team transformed itself by improving hundreds of tiny details by just 1 percent, we help athletes squeeze out those same slivers of progress in the three areas that move the needle most: strength training, nutrition, and film study.

A slightly sharper lift program, a marginally cleaner diet, a few extra minutes dissecting game footage—each tweak may feel small on its own, but together they compound into a gap‑closing surge of performance.

Only about 2 percent of high‑school athletes earn Division I roster spots; the next 3 percent are heartbreakingly close. Our philosophy is to make sure our athletes never settle into that almost‑there group.

By stacking dozens of everyday 1 percent wins, we turn potential into predictable progress—so when a college coach is choosing those scarce D1 slots, our athletes stand firmly in the top 2 percent.

Meet THe Founder

Hi, I’m Mark — a former Division 1 water polo player and captain of the #1 ranked NCAA team at Fordham University. I wasn’t the tallest, the fastest, or the strongest, but I found a way to stand out. I studied the game, trained with intention, and learned how to get noticed by the right coaches. That journey taught me that success in college sports doesn’t come from talent alone — it comes from having the right support system.

That’s why I started Prep2PlaySports — to give high school athletes access to the same kind of personalized support I wish I had. Through our platform, we connect young athletes with current Division 1 players who serve as mentors and film study partners. We also pair athletes with D1 strength and conditioning coaches who build custom training plans, and certified nutritionists who help fuel their performance. On top of that, we walk each athlete through the recruiting process step by step — from writing emails to building a highlight reel — so they can present themselves professionally to college coaches.

If you're serious about playing at the next level, this is the support system that can help you get there. It all starts with a free guide I put together: The Ultimate Water Polo Recruiting Roadmap — the exact playbook I used to make it to D1.
